AI has crept into every corner of digital work, and for UX and product designers, it’s both a shiny new toy and a surprisingly helpful assistant. If you’re a solo designer juggling hats like researcher, strategist, and documentation expert, AI might feel like the colleague you never had.
The third and most recent job I had came with a mix of fresh lessons and some old, familiar challenges that just won’t stop haunting me. I get it- the universe is practically screaming at me to change something, or history will keep repeating itself.
Three years in IT Procurement & Business Solutions taught me more than just how to navigate complex workflows and business strategies. It gave me hard-earned lessons about people, workplace dynamics, and personal growth. Some of these realizations were painful, but they shaped my perspective on work and life.
Starting out in design is like stepping into a fast-moving river- you either learn to swim quickly or get swept away in self-doubt. Looking back at my first job, I wish I had known a few things earlier.
